Abstract

Whether money supply actually is endogenous or exogenous is always an endless debatable problem in the financial field. The money quantity theory claimed that money is exogenous from the relation of money quantity and aggregate price fluctuation;Because of the change of economical environment, Keynes's viewpoint on money supply experienced from endogenous to exogenous; Post - keynesianers drawn a conclusion that money supply is endogenous from the produce process of credit money. Taking a comprehensive view of money developing history, the debate of endogenous and exogenous still has some other reasons such as confused standards, various concepts, and etc.
