Abstract
The superplastic diffusion bonding process of titanium alloy(TC4) and stainless steel(1Cr18Ni9Ti) after fine-gaining treatmented in vacuum was studied by using pure nickel as the transition metal. The microstructure of the joints were studied by SEM,XRD etc.and their mechanical properties were tested by shear experiments. The results show that using nickel as interlayer can prevent diffusion between Ti,Fe and C,and avoid producing more intermetallic compound in the interface,so the properties of the joints can be improved. At the condition of the bonding temperature T=790℃,bonding pressure p=3MPa,bonding time t=30min,the shear strength of joints is up to 131.1MPa without obvious shape change.
