Abstract

Objective To investigate whether the glaucomatous optic changes detected by Heidelberg Retina Tomography(HRT)is consistnet to the distribution of visual field defects and the value of Heidelberg Retina Tomograph parameter in primary open angle glaucoma. Methods 32 patients with open angle glaucoma an 100 normal subjects were detected by Humphrey Field Analyzer(HFA) and by HRT.Results The parameters of HRT of 100 normal subjects are normal,so do their results of HFA.In the 32 open angle glaucoma, comparing with the half disc corresponding to the intact hemifield, the half disc corresponding to the detective hemifield has significantly higher values of cup/disc area ratio、rim area and thickness of retina nerve fiber layer. Conclusions The optic disc changes detected by HRT are consistent to the distribution of the visual field defects.
