Abstract
Objective To analyze transmission proportion of hepatitis B virus(HBV) in family members, and provide evidence for further control. Methods Blood samples were collected from 456 participants from 125 households,in which at least one member was tested positive HBsAg by ELISA and HBV DNA by PCR.Positive proportions of HBsAg and HBV DNA were calculated in children whose fathers or mothers with positive HBsAg,and in wives whose husbands with positive HBsAg.Results There were 288 participants with positive HBsAg.Positive proportions of HBsAg and HBV DNA were 98.21% and 37.50% in children whose mothers with positive HBsAg,and 50.00% in children whose mothers with negative HBsAg.Positive proportions of HBsAg and HBV RNA were 97.92% and 26.67% in children whose fathers with positive HBsAg,and 40.00% in children whose fathers with negative HBsAg.Positive proportions of HBsAg and HBV RNA in wives whose husbands with positive HBsAg were 98.59% and 90.16%,statistically higher than that(28.00%) in wives whose husbands with positive HBsAg(HBsAg:χ2=4.57,P0.01;HBV:χ2=5.41,P0.01).However,no statistical difference in proportion of positive HBsAg was found between Han nationality and minorities(χ2=2.69,P0.01;χ2=0.44,P0.01).Conclusions Emphasis on health education in patients with hepatitis B and their families should be reconstructed, and effective prevention and control measures should be taken to concern about families, improve the psychological quality, and minimize the incidence in family members.
