Abstract
Emergy-Based Ecological Footprint which was the improvement of traditional ecological footprint model, using the emergy transfomity and area emergy density. The emergy-based ecological footprint model could explain the status of the development of ecological economy accurately. In this paper, the authors applied the improved emergy-based ecological footprint model to analyze the dynamic ecological footprint of Dalian City from 2005 to 2010.The results showed that the emergy-based ecological carrying capacity of Dalian was below the emergy-based ecological footprint from 2005 to 2010 and was in the ecological deficit state. In six years, the ecological deficit was increased from 1.51 hm2 in 2005 to 2.59 hm2 in 2010.The energy resources′ footprint was increasing year by year in the composition of ecological footprint.
