Abstract

The history of Ethernet is reviewed .The obstacle which Ethernet meets when applied in industrial automation is analyzed.With the development of Ethernet technologies,such as switching,full-duplex communication and so on,Ethernet are being applied in process monitoring and controlling network. The possibility and key problems for Ethernet applied in fieldbus are given.
