Induction of Tolerance to Rat Skin Allograft by Donor Immature Dendritic Cells

Objective The effect of allograft immune tolerance by donor immature dendritic cells (DC) was studied in order to provide theoretical and practical basis for anti rejection of skin allografts.Methods The recipient was pretreated with immature DC alone or in combination with cyclosporin A(CSA).Skin transplantation was performed and the survival time of skin grafts were observed according to the groups.Results The survival time in the group of control,Immature DC and immature DC+CSA were 6.86±1.34d,7.57±1.99d and 22.43±4.46d respectively.Statistical analysis showed that there was no obvious difference between immature DC and control group.However,the survival time of skin grafts in immature DC+CSA group had significant difference compared with controls (P001).Conclusion The pretreatment with immature DC can prolong the survival time of rat skin graft after transplantation.
