Abstract

Objective To study different thick agarose gel how to impact the DNA electrophoresis. Methods Using different thick agarose gel engaged in electrophoresis and took photograph in order to analysis. Results When the thickness of agarose gel is 5 - 7 mm, the distance is longest. Under 10 mm the relative migrate rate increased along with the agarose gel becoming thicher and thicher, but over 10 mm on the contray. When the thickness of agarose gel is between 3 mm and 10 mm, the photograph is the most perfect. Conclusion The appropriate thickness of agarose gel is between 5 mm and 7 mm.
