Abstract

In the case of scarce data or insufficient information available,a non-probabilistic set model is valid alternative to structural reliability analysis. The non-probabilistic reliability measures based on interval and their interrelations are investigated.Three kinds of non-probabilistic reliability measures based on interval, which are reliability index, set based reliability measure and safety possibility degree are compared. The non-probability set-based reliability nature and the computational method have been studied. In the stress-strength interference case, the non-probability set-based of reliability analytic method is suggested to be applied to carry on the structural reliability analysis, then several common non-probability set-based of reliability computational method for stress-strength combination are also proposed. At last, the conclusion is verified by an example.
