Discussion on Levee Safety Management Technology of Lower Yellow River

The levee safety of the lower Yellow River involves dike-body,dike-crossing structures and river training works etc.The lower Yellow River issecondary suspended river,most dikes are made of sands soil and far away from the main stream which cause their hidden troubles difficult to be discovered.So it is necessary to enhance levee monitoring and early warning for the dike security would be threatened seriously by water seepage and bank-collapse while once flood overflows.To aim at these problems existing in the works of hidden troubles detection and safety monitoring of dike,the seepage monitoring between soil and rock in dike-crossing structures,the detection and monitoring of the root stone in the river training works and dike safety assessment,the solving ways are discussed in this paper.
