Abstract

Ultrasonic Motor(USM) has excellent performance and many useful features, however, its mathematical model has strong non-linearity and time-variety to make precise position servo very difficult. The application of fuzzy-reasoning theory in a TR-USM-actuated position servo system and a controller with speed and position-variable feedback schemes are discussed in this paper. Experiments are performed on a one-axis servo driver system and good position performance is achieved.
