Abstract
Since 1989,nineteen tropical subtropical maize materials were planted in temperate zone(Anyang,Henan)and tropical Zone(Hainan).The results showed that(1) materials of S901,S902,S903,S905 etc.had better feetures than other maize materials,such as stable agoronomic characteristics,insensitivity to photoperiod high ability of resistance,and wide adaption.The adaptive planting area of them were temperate zone;(2) materials of S904,S906,S908,S909,S910 etc.were difference in main agronomic characteristics.Their characteristics of botany and biology changed.They had weak ability of discase resistance and adaption.They should not be planted in temperate zone and not airectly be breeding materials.
