Abstract
Feasibility and effect of electrochemical treatment method were studied dealing with dye effluents containing NaCl of high concentration. The results indicate that colourity and COD removal rates of dye effluents can reach 85% and 99.8% respectively under the optimum electrolysis condition(I=0.017 A/cm2; V=10.3V).Remanent chlorine plays an important role on the removal of COD and colourity of dye effluents. The primary mechanism of electrochemical reaction was also studied and a project of treating dye effluents containing NaCl of high concentration was obtained.
