Abstract
The core of Communicative Language Teaching is to enhance the learner's communicative competence,which focuses on the development of communicative strategy.Communicative strategy refers to the techniques used by the language learners to overcome communicative barriers due to their insufficient language resources.In this paper,an eight-week communicative strategy training program was executed to 160 first-year college students of non-English major,which shows that the communicative strategy is effective in overcoming communicative barriers and improving their oral communicative competence.
