Abstract

Objective To compare the effect and safety of three kinds of medicinal combination on colonscopy inspection. Methods Ninety patients were divided randomly into three groups:Group A(propofol, midazolam and fentanyl group,n=30)Group B(propofol, fentanyl group,n=30),and Group C(propofol group,n=30).In group A midazolam 1 mg bolus was injected intravenously combined with propofol 1.5 mg/kg at a speed of 3 mg/s and fentanyl 1 μg/kg.In group B fentanyl 1 μg/kg combined with propofol 2 mg/kg at a speed of 3 mg/s.Group C propofol 2 mg/kg at a speed of 3 mg/s.Heart rate(HR),blood pressure(BP) and SPO_2 were measured before the procedure and monitored continuously during and after the procedure. Results Group A presented obvious sedation and analgesia compared with Groups B and C(P0.05).Conclusion Propofol combined with midazolam and fentanyl presents optimal effect in sedation and analgesia for colonoscopy.
