Abstract

The Shatanjiao polymetallic ore field, located in the eastern of Tongling uplift district in the Middle-Lower Yangtze River Valley metallogenic belt,is a significant potential mineralization area. There are thirteen deposits in the area, including a super-large deposit called Yaojialing, and some other small deposits called Shatanjiao,Zhujiachong,Daiyaoshan,Fengxingshan,Xiaogongshan and so on.The major types of the deposit are medium-low hydrothermal deposits and skarn type deposits. Mineralization assemblages are mainly composed of zinc-gold-copper polymetallic elements.Shatanjiao and Yaojialing intrusive rocks are both important related rocks for mineralization, and the dominant ore-forming related formations are Carbonic-Permian carbonatite rocks. The metallogenetic process of Shatanjiao ore field is a part of Yanshannian mineralization in Tongling ore district.
