Abstract
Adam Smith is pioneer of British classic political economy. In his famous work The Wealth of Nations,he demonstrated that social wealth was always driven by pursuit to self-interest,and the economic order was arranged by the so-called invisible hand of God.In respect of this,he was regarded as a strong advocate of free competition and limited government interference to economy. This kind of economic liberalism has a tremendous impact on later ages.
