Abstract
Six protoberberine alkaloids were isolated from Berberis anhweiensis Ahrendt for the first time.And they were identified as berberine(1),palmatine(2),dehydrocapaurinine(3),jatrorrhizine(4),columbamine(5),jatrorubine(6).The content of palmatine in this plant is higher than those in other Berberis plants.
