On Construction of Database for Town-Level Land Use Based on ArcGIS

Abstract

To achieve the informatization of land resources management,a database for town-level land use has been established by utilizing the current database for county-level land use.Based on ArcGIS,this paper deals with the study of the process of database construction and the system objective,in which methods of loading the spatial planning,area measurement,extracting thematic elements,and processing non-space datum have been emphasized especially.The results show that it is feasible to design such a database based on ArcGIS software platform.
