The Role of Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology for Thyroid Tumor

Abstract

To investigate the role of fine needle aspiration cytology for the diagnosis of thyroid tumor.Fine needle aspiration from 386 cases with pathologically proved thyroid tumor was analysed.Of 386 cases,the cytologic diagnosis was consistent with pathologic diagnosis in 359 cases(93.0%).[Conclusion]Fine needle aspiration cytology can accurately diagnose thyroid tumor majority.
