Abstract
Objetcive To observe the effects of pulsed radiofrequency treatment for lumbsacral radicular pain. Methods Sixty-eight patients with lumbosacral radicular pain treated with pulsed radiofrequency after conservative therapy were retrospectively evaluated. The ten-point VAS was used to document the short-term effect after two months. Results Two months after pulsed radiofrequency treatment, 20 patients were satisfied with the pain reduction which more than 75%, 29 patients presented pain relief more than 50%, 19 patients had no significant effect. No serious adverse effects were noted. Conclusion The use of pulsed radiofrequency in the treatment of lumbosacral radicular pain appears to be effective and safe.
