Digital Video Format Up-converter and Its Application

Abstract

An SD to HD video converter is introduced based on video format conversion IC chip with independent intellectual right of property,which is used to generate more digital HDTV sources for broadcasting. This system transfers SD video data from SD-SDI or BT656 interface to HD-SDI data according to SMPTE292 standard. The serial digital high definition video signal will be used as an input source for high definition encoder and generate high definition video programs.
