Abstract
By means of self_made catalyst and conditional test, the phenyl acetate was synthesized from phenyl hydroxide and acetic anhydride by direct esterification. The factors influencing on the synthesis were studied, and the proper technological conditions were given as follows. The reaction temperature is 135~145 ℃, the reaction time is 90 min, the molar ratio of phenyl hydroxide and acetic anhydride is 1.00:1.05, the content of catalyst is 0.03% by weight of the total system mass, and the esterifying temperature is 194~196 ℃. The yield of the product is 98.7%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
