Techniques Used to Dispose Municipal Solid Waste

The disposal techniques are studied and chosen scientifically to solve the problem of pollution by municipal solid wastes.The main kinds of disposal methods such as sanitary landfill,compost,incineration,and recycle are studied comparatively,according to the synthetical survey,investment and technology analysis.Sanitary landfill is studied emphatically.The results show that:(1) the disposal method is restricted by disposal cost mainly.The cost of sanitary landfill is the lowest with the percentage of 1/3~1/10 of others;(2) The sanitary landfill disposes waste with large capacity and fast velocity.The disposal velocity is 500~2 000 t a day in a modern domestic landfill.(3) It can be recycled when necessary.(4) It is very important to design and construct the structure and material in landfills.It concludes that sanitary landfill is the developing aspect for disposing solid waste landfill,due to its relative low cost and wide application foreground.
