Abstract

This paper first introduces the background, framework and control plane of Automatically Switched Optical Network (ASON). It mainly gives a research on the functional model of control plane, signaling, routing and Distributed Call and Connection Management (DCM). It also researches how to implement the control plane. Lastly it discusses and gives an insight on the future of ASON .
