Abstract
The effect of seed soaking in four different concentrations of spermidine(SPD) under salt stress on seed germination was studied. The resultS showed the germination rate was significantly decreased in treatment B(200 mmol/L NaCl),and the germination potential, germination index, vigor index and length of germ was significantly increased in treatment D(1.0 mmol/L SPD).Compared to treatment A(water, the control),there was no difference in germination potential, germination index and vigor index in treatment C(200 mmol/L NaCl + 1.0 mmol/L SPD).All the results indicated that spermidine(SPD) not only promotes seed to sprout but also eases damage of salt stress.
