Abstract
The Han nationality scholars' psychology went through a long and tortuous course , they refused to cooperate with the new regime of the Liao dynasty initially , but the continuous failure of the Han nationality political power , especially the failure of the Northern Song dynasty damaged their recovery dream . On the contrary , the new regime of the Liao dynasty was energetic, it made use of all kinds of policies through conciliation to provide arena that the Han nationality scholars could put their political ambitions to good use and strove for cooperation with the Han nationality scholars actively . Finally , the Han nationality scholars cooperated with the Qidan nationality and became an important part of the Liao regime.
