Abstract
Suspension system is an important component for chassisi,ts design parameters are related to the ride comfort and the drive stability of a truck。In order to evaluate automotive ride comfort scientifically,a 1/2 vehicle model with five DOF was established。 By means of spectral analysis, taking root mean square of accelerate under one-third octave bands as evaluation criterion,a simulation program for performance of truck’s suspension system under random input of road situation was developed with Matlab。The power spectrum of accelerate and the curve of its root mean square under both empty-and full-load situations gained in the simulation were rather corresponding to the practical situation of trucks。Such a simulation program can be used in analyzing of vehicle ride comfort and its parameter optimization further。
