Abstract

Pickling is an important process for cold rolling. The endpoint of hydrochloric acid pickling of strip steel was determined electrochemically by the method of first zero potential differential value. The effects of mass fraction of hydrochloric acid, temperature and tensile elongation on pickling endpoint were studied. For shortening pickling time, improving pickling temperature is more significant than increasing hydrochloric acid concentration.
