STUDY OF THE CLINICAL THERAPEUTIC EFFECT ON TWO KINDS OF PIT AND FISSURE SEALANT IN PREVENTION OF DECIDUOUS MOLAR TOOTH CARIES

Abstract

[Objective]The present study was undertaken to investigate the clinical effect of Beautifil flowable as a pit and fissure sealant that was applied in the prevention of deciduous molar tooth caries.[Methods]300 the second up and down deciduous molars in 150 patients aged from 3-4 years were treated with Beautifil flowable as pit and fissure sealant.The opposite deciduous teeth were treated with Estiseal Flight as the controls.[Results]The patients were followed up for 3 years.The remain rate(%)of Beautifil flowable sealant after 3 years was higher than that of Estiseal F(P﹤0.05).The incidence rate(%)of caries in LCBF treated teeth was lower than that of the controls(P﹤0.05).[Conclusion]Beautifil flowable is a reliable pit and fissure sealant,it is an effective method to prevent deciduous molar tooth caries and worthy of clinical exploration.
