Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of amino acid complex (oral liquid) on immune function in mice. Methods SPF Kunming mice were selected, three groups of different administration dose were set,i.e. low, medium and high dose, which was 5,10,20 times of the recommended human usage respectively. One control group was set simultaneously. After 30 days of oral administration, delayed hypersensitivity test, macrophage phagocytosis of chicken red blood cells test, carbon clearance test,ConA induced lymphocytes transformation test,NK cell activity test, serum hemolysin measurement test, and antibody forming cells test were conducted according to the Technical standards for testing and assessment of health food. Results Compared with control group, low dose of amino acid complex (oral liquid) could enhance the ability of ConA induced lymphocytes transformation, the ability of delayed hypersensitivity, the level of serum hemolysin, the ability of carbon clearance and the ability of antibody forming cells in mice significantly. The result of macrophage phagocytosis of chicken red blood cells test and NK cell activity test was negative. Conclusions Amino acid complex (oral liquid) showed significant effect on enhancing immune function in mice.
