Abstract
The effects of various concentrations of polyethylene glycol(PEG)on hot pepper seed germination were researched with different drought resistance hot pepper cultivars(lines)(Zunjiao No.2,8093,89).The results showed that hot pepper seed germination and seedlings growth were inhibited with PEG concentration rising.Seed germination and seedling growth indexes such as germination rate, germination vigor, radicle length, hypocotyl length, seedling fresh weight and water content decreased with the aggravation of simulated drought degree, germination index increased at first, but then decreased.Compared to the control, the change degree order of the above indexes for 10.0% PEG treatment was Zunjiao No.2 89 8093.
