Regional Differences and Classification on Urbanization in Mainland China

For the purpose of researching the regional differences and classification on urbanization in mainland China,analyzed the data of urbanization level in 2008 of 31 regions in mainland China and used the factor analysis,cluster analysis and internal coordination analysis,arrived at the conclusion: Urbanization grew faster in the eastern provinces and rather slower in the western provinces in China;urbanization moved towards clustering;the higher the province′s urbanization level,the higher the province′s internal coordination level.Known from the analysis,the regional differences on urbanization were made by three main factors the location,economic pull and policy orientation,then proposed the countermeasures of coordinated development.
