Discovering the Sphinx Riddle of Religion

There exist four deficiencies in contemporary domestic scholars' discussions on more or less.The first one is some scholars'lack of necessary recognition,the second one is their superficiality about essence;the third one is their negligence of special essence;the fourth one is their extrication of culture.DUAN Dezhi's Introduction to religion,however,broke these etiquette and built a ternary theoretical system,which includes essentials,special and universal of religion.In his system,religious essential was regarded only as the primary essence of religion;the relation between transcendence and immanence of belief was regarded as a key for discovering special essence;and he created a new concept of religious cultural essence,thereby he reduced universal of religion to society and culture.
