Abstract
Objective To assess the results of combinded Salter' innominate osteotomy and femur osteotomy on developmental dysplasia of the hip(DDH).Methods Salter' pelvis and femoral osteotomies were carried out on 59 cases DDH in our hospital.Acetabulum head index(AHI),centre edge(CE),acetabulum index(AI) and femur head diameter rate(FHDR) in DDH and healthy hip were measured respectively and the results of the surgery were also assessed. Results In follow-up duration of 1~5 years, the AHI,CE,AI and FHDR were evidently developed after treatment, especially in 2~3 years postoperatively. The results of operation were excellent in 66.1%(39/59),good in 27.1%(16/59),fair in 6.8%(4/59),and the excellent and good rate was 93.2%.Conclusions Combinded Salter innominate osteotomy and femur osteotomy with torsion were credible treatment to developmental dysplasia of the hip.
