Abstract
A design of tightly coupled network bridge for SS7 network is proposed. The bridge transfers signal units between the two link terminals connected to it,and the signal units could be modified, inserted and removed, thus to monitor and control calls in real time. This functionality is very important in public safety area. The tightly coupled bridge is low in delay and workload, and good in concealment. The emphases in this design include:to keep the seria number continuious and notify link failures to the other side, etc.Field tests indicate that this design could flexibly implement various services in real time.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
