Abstract
This paper describes a triaxial testing of unsaturated soils apparatus modifled by Chen Zhenghan for compacted loess and a triaxial testing on saturated soils for uncompacted loess by CDS. The effects of compacting on stress-strain rela-tion at different degrees of suction and confine press are discussed. Parameter of deformation and strength are obtained, compared and analyzed these parameters.
