Abstract
For comparing the effect of reclaimed water and heavy metals lead(Pb),cadmium(Cd) on crop seed germination and seedling,it was researched that secondary reclaimed water and Pb,Cd(single and complex treatment) had an influence on seed germination and seedling of wheat by experiment with solution culture. The results showed that reclaimed water had promotion effect on seed germination and root growth of wheat distinctly.Low concentrations of Pb and Cd can promote seed germination and root growth, but the inhibitory effect of the middle and high concentrations will be appeared. There was a positive correlation between inhibition rate of root elongation and concentration of metal, and the most evident to complex pollution.Inhibition rate of root elongation can be as an evaluation index for pollution degree of Pb and Cd.The ecological toxicity on root elongation of complex pollution is higher than that of single metal Pb or Cd,and the major mechanism may be the synergism function.
