Application of IP SAN in university digital libraries

Abstract

The storage and management of data is core of importance for digital library system and storage system is the infrastructure of the digital library system.The storage system based upon IP-SAN can be used to construct the hardware platform for library management information system.On the basis of comparison of the three prevalent storage technologies,DAS,NAS and SAN,The paper analyzes the advantage and disadvantage of IP-SAN.Combined with the actual application of network storage system in digital library construction of Shandong Jianzhu University the research presents a solution on how to build university digital library based on IP-SAN storage system.
