Abstract

The effects of applying potassium fertilizer at peak bolling stage of cotton on the photosynthesis characteristic and yield were studied under filed conditions with middle-season hybrid varieties Biaoza A1,Jingza 2 and short-season normal varieties Yuzao 06,Zhongmian 30.Results show that applying 150 kg·hm~(-2) Potassium chloride at peak bolling stage increased SPAD value, maximal PSⅡ light energy transformation efficiency(Fv/Fm),PSⅡ potential activity(Fv/Fo),photosynthesis rate(Pn) in leaves of cotton during peak bolling stage to early bolls opening stage, enhanced total bolls per plant, boll weight and lint percentage.Compared with contrastive cotton plants, lint yield of Biaoza A1,Jingza 2,Yuzao 06,Zhongmian 30 in experiment were increased 2.0%,8.6%,13.0%,11.5% respectively.
