Abstract
The modal tests are made for a missile body and a rudder transmission system under free-free boundary conditions. The modal parameters are estimated with the Least Square Complex Frequency(PolyMax) method. The results indicate that the modal parameters obtained by this method are more accurately and easily in cases such as lowly damped linear systems and highly damped nonlinear systems.
