Abstract
Objective To investigate the risk factors for inducing rupture of intracranial aneurysms. Methods A case-control study including 186 patients with intracranial aneurysm (aneurysm group) and 208 patients with other diseases (control group) was performed to analyze risk factors for rupture of aneurysm.Logistic regression model was used for multifactor-analysis.Results There was statistically significant difference between aneurysm group and control group in age, smoking history, hypertension and menopausal history.Logistic regression analysis showed that there was significant correlation between age, smoking history, hypertension, menopausal history and rupture of intracranial aneurysm. Conclusion Age,smoking history, hypertension and menopausal history may be the risk factors for inducing rupture of intracranial aneurysms.
