Abstract
The ground state energy and mean number of optical phonon of weak-coupling polaron in infinite quantum well in this article are to be examined by using improved linear-combination-operator and variational method.The article is to be discussed includes that the effect of well width on the ground state energy of the polaron,the influence of Lagrange multiplier u on the vibration frequency,ground state energy and mean number of optical phonon.Numerical calculation showed that the vibration frequency and mean number of optical phonon will increase with Lagrange multiplier u increasing,the ground state energy will decrease with the well width increasing and it decrease with the Lagrange multiplier u increasing.
