The Analysis of Communication and Management Characteristics of Science Pictorial from the View of Science and Technology History during the Republic of China

Because of the May 4th Movement in 1919,Saving the nation by became the mainstream thought in China,which providing the indispensable cultural environment for the development of associations of science and technology at that time,and also became the main mission of those modern associations.The number and scale of the scientific associations were increased based on the founded,growth and expansion of one of them——the Science Society of China,which stuck to the faith of saving the nation by science,worked on the research of Chinese science,and propagated the public science knowledge as its duty.So Science Pictorial was founded and influenced by the Science Society of China,explaining the profound science in simple terms.Unlike the other researches about Science Pictorial,this article focused on the combination of evolution of Chinese science and technology history during 1912-1949,respectively from the idea of public science's propagation,editing and publishing mechanism of scientists,and separation of content and business,etc.,in order to explore the communication and management characteristics of Science Pictorial,and to gain some inspiration for the ongoing transformation and revolution of newspaper and periodicals in China.
