Abstract
Snake venom contains a wide variety of compounds including enzymes,toxic proteins and has wide bio-logical activities.Many of the enzymes and proteins have been studied and found that they are effective on an-tithrombosis,hemostasis,analgesia and antitumor.This article reviews the progress in studies on antitumor effect of snake venom and describes the mechanism of its antitumor,the characteristics,the isolation and purification of its antitumor activated components,the directions for further research and possible applications.
