Abstract
On the basis of a brief analysis the discrepancy in orientation between this school and the manipulative school,this paper ventures into the relation between literary translation and Skopo theories,and functionalist text typology,in an attempt to prove that functionalist approaches are not valid in the sphere in literary translation.
