Abstract
The principle of investors'expectations is rooted from the concept of legitimate in domestic law and it has become an important principle applied by international investment arbitral tribunals.In recent international investment arbitration practice,tribunals have made frequent reference to in deciding the violation of and treatment standard and expropriation.The article examines the application of the principle of in international investment arbitrations though the analysis of related cases,and points out although the investors' expectations is relevant to both the indirect expropriation and fair and equitable heads of claim,the recent tribunals adopt a broader interpretation on this principle when facing the and treatment claims.
