Abstract
The present paper deals with the metal cation-induced Cl - adsorption by three variable charge soils and an constant charge soil in the electrolyte solutions. The results showed that metal cation had obvious inducing effect on Cl - adsorption for variable charge soils, the influence order was AlCl 3CuCl 2KClNaCl,but there was not significant influence for constant charge soil.
