Thought on the Innovation of City Planning and Urban Transition of Nanjing

The paper summarizes four currents of global urban development, and eco-city and its sustainable development had been the key idea of urban development.Intelligent city based on ICT techniques would bring an innovation of people's life style, creative city and compact city would be necessary for the transformation of cities in post-industrial era.The author believes that Nangjing should build an intelligent city,integrating ecology, economy,technique and human to meet the city transition,some paths of city transition and innovation of city planning are given and discussed.
