Abstract
Carbonate rock reservoirs are characterized by lowp orosity, anisotropy and heterogeneity. So,it is very difficult to carry on well-logging evaluation, especially to identify their type.Int his study,on the basis of conventional well-logging and formation test, the effectiveness of cavity reservoirs is identified by both average effective porosity and accumulative effective thickness of pores. Moreover, these reservoirs are also quantitatively and qualitatively identified by imaging well-logging,and a standard to divide them is established.Through these methods, the reservoir effectiveness is evaluated for part wells in central Tarim Basin andc ertain identification has been obtained.
